Today we're talking about how to properly walk on a treadmill for amputees.
To get started, you want to keep it at an easy pace that you can sustain for 20 minutes.
A good way to find your pace is to be able to talk while you're walking.
A few ways to make walking on a treadmill more challenging:
1. Increase your speed
2. Increase your incline to make it feel like an uphill walk
Treadmill Tip: Always use your treadmill at an incline of 1.
Why? It takes a lot of impact off of your knes.
