On July 14th, 1995 I was in a motorcycle accident. I lost my leg in the accident and was in need of having the Doctor amputate my arm at the hospital to save my life.
I was flown to St. Mary’s in Saginaw and had Michael Wolohan for my procedure. I had been directed to a company for Physical Therapy and to receive my first prosthetic leg.
I was in shock when they had told me that my leg was foam and that I was to stay away from water. This is when I knew I was not getting the care I deserved and that the quality of my leg was not up to my standards.
I had moved in 1997, and this is when I learned that I had a choice in where I went for my prosthetic care, and I am so happy that this move led me to Bremer Prosthetics.
Everyone on the team is absolutely wonderful! They have given me my independence back which I am so very grateful for! Every foot & ankle I have received has become more flexible and continues to help me reach my goals.
I am now back to going up north where I enjoy taking my Rottweilers for walks, going 4-wheeling, swimming and just enjoying the great outdoors.
