Nathan Kapa, C.P. manager of Bremer Prosthetic Design, Inc. in Flint, is certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics for prosthetics.
Nate is a graduate of Northwestern University's prosthetic program, and Michigan Technological University with a Biomedical Engineering degree. He began with Bremer Prosthetic Design in 2003 assisting with clinical and technical work to gain a solid foundation in prosthetic technology and fitting principles before completing his education. Nate has been designing custom, state-of-the-art prosthetics since completing his residency in 2007 and has been a certified prosthetist since 2008. In 2009, Nate became a partner in Bremer Prosthetic Design and plans to continue to use his training and technical background to provide the highest level of patient care possible.
Scott Baranek, B.O.C.P., C.P., a 17 year amputee and Certified Prosthetist.
Since losing his left leg in a motorcycle accident in 1994, Baranek has dedicated his life to prosthetics and has been working in the industry since 1995. He has served on the Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) since 2006 and has been on the BOC Underwriters Committee since 2004. He is co-founder of the Thunder in the Valley games, an annual national Paralympics event at SVSU, and is past president of Michigan Sports Unlimited from 2005-2010. He is a native of the Great Lakes Bay Region.
